Round 2 of chemotherapy is done.
We made it home to have a delicious birthday breakfast with our baby……celebrating double digits!
Home again. Home again.
Kevin is doing as well as to be expected. He is fighting this fight….his body is weak, the chemotherapy is brutal…but he is hanging in there. Tired. Wiped out. Ready for it to be over. But standing (or maybe sitting?) strong.
Blake had a great baseball game – winning team 15-2. and his wish for dinner was Osabi. Since Kevin was not up for a trip out to a restaurant…I did what all good mom’s would do….I googled recipes for “benihana style” chicken, shrimp, ginger soy dipping sauce, etc. and…..believe it or not….though the pictures I took were blurry….the actual meal…was AMAZING! I don’t think we’ll be going to Osabi anytime soon. We can eat at home….better quality for a fraction of the cost. Though we did miss the ‘show’.
Tomorrow is the big day for the iaff local 525 charity poker tournament. Kevin regrets that he won’t be in attendance, but looks forward to skyping in to see his friends and our supporters.
Today..we are grateful for family, for love, and for chemotherapy.
